How to Ask a Girl Out on a Date
Guys, I know it's nerve-racking asking a girl out on a date. It can be a bit intimidating. But it's not as hard as you think. Here are a few tips from a woman's perspective.
Difficulty: Moderately, Easy
Instructions
- AVOID pick-up lines.
Please, no "Hey, baby, what's your sign?" or "You must be tired because you've been running through my head all night." Keep it simple and just introduce yourself.
- GET to the point. Don't be aggressive or rude.
Say something like, "Hi my name is John. And your name is?...Amy, I'm interested in getting to know you. Would you be interested in going on a date with me?"
- BE confident.
Put a smile o your face. Look the young lady directly in the eyes. Wear clothes that make you look good and feel good. When you feel good, you exude confidence.
- BE yourself.
Don't try to be the kind of man you think she's attracted to. You're more interesting when you're genuine and real. Besides, if you fake the funk it'll come out eventually.
- PRACTICE.
Practice what you're going to say and how you're going say it. Practice in front of a mirror. Also practice with a female friend or relative. It's always good to get valuable feedback from a woman's perspective.
- BE prepared if she says no.
It's not the end of the world. Don't take it personal. Think of it this way: A "no" just means you're that much closer to a "yes" from a girl who's right for you.
